OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2008. Prelaunch processing of the Zenith-3SLB LV/ Telstar-11N US telecommunication satellite began at Baikonur. This week foreign and Russian experts inspected mounting facilities at sites №№31, 42, 254, Zenith-3SLB launch pad (site 45), filling station, Yubileiny airport.

Zenith-3SLB/DM-SLB upper stage are to loft Telstar-11N at the end of December 2008. Telstar-11N was developed by Loral Skynet. The satellite has 39 Ku-band transponders. It will be located 37.5 deg. W.L. and intended to provide coverage for Central and North Americas, Europe, Africa and the Atlantic ocean.
