Latvenergo AS Clients Chose Automatic Invoice Payment
OREANDA-NEWS On 31 October was announced, that to make their electricity payments more convenient, Latvenergo AS clients are increasingly choosing to sign up for automatic invoice payment. Statistics from recent months prove that the number of such clients is increasing every month. At the start of the year, the average number of clients choosing to connect this service was 6% monthly; in October this figure had already risen to 16.3%.
Many residents in Latvia still pay their electricity invoices by post or bank and record meter readings every month and calculate the size of their payments independently which requires additional time and larger commission payments.
By signing up for automatic invoice payments, customers benefit from significantly lower commission payments than for standard payments, and commission payments can even be four times less than usual.
To apply for an automatic invoice payment, residents must visit their bank to submit their application and sign a contract for the use of this service.
Automatic invoice payment takes place on the basis of a balanced payment schedule, because electricity bills are the same both during the winter and summer period. Furthermore, customers save the time which they usually spend reading meters, making payment calculations and making payments.
As soon as the client has prepared his or her application, Latvenergo AS calculates the average monthly electricity payments, creates a balance payment schedule for the coming year (payment forecast) and sends the forecast to the client by post. If his or her electricity consumption changes at any time, the client can amend the forecast by calling the information hotline: 80200400, visiting any client service centre or make his or her amendments personally at the Latvenergo client self-service portal: www.e-latvenergo.lv.
When visiting a bank to prepare the application, the client must have an existing bank account with the bank and must bring along his or her passport and Latvenergo AS contract number.
Clients can apply for automatic electricity payments at: SEB Bank, GE Money Bank, DnB NORD Bank, Hipotзku un zemes banka, Nordea Bank, Norvik Bank, Parex Bank, PrivatBank, Rietumu Bank, Swedbank (former Hansabanka).
