OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2008. The Government will insist on adoption of a separate bill on guaranteeing the banking deposits return to individual persons. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed this taking the floor during the Parliament’s consideration of the bill “On minimization of the global financial crisis impact on the economy of Ukraine”.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that the Cabinet’s bill had set out a norm, according to which the state was obliged to guarantee the citizens the banking deposits return at the sum of UAH 100 thousand.

According to the Prime Minister, the President’s bill does not envisage such provision. “But if we all back up the presidential bill then in any case a separate law shall provide guarantees to individual persons for deposits return,” Yulia Tymoshenko is confident.
