OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2008.  A delegation from Syrian Arab Republic under the leadership of dr Imad Eldin Abdul-Hay, Deputy Minister of Transport for Maritime Economy and mr Abdul Kader Sabra, President of Syrian Chamber of Navigation guested in Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. headquarters.

The visit was held as a part of contacts led by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce represented by mr Krzysztof Rychlicki, Deputy Chairman of the Council of PCMC and captain Jerzy Uzieblo, Chairman of the Council of PCMC.

The Syrian delegation was welcomed in Gdynian port by mr Walery Tankiewicz, Vice President of the Managing Board of Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. and mr Krzysztof Gromadowski, Director for International Cooperation and Public Relations. During their stay in the port the guests were introduced to its results, possibilities of terminals and plans for development. A declaration for cooperation between the both chambers has been signed and the visit ended with a roundtrip throught the port on fire brigade's ship Strazhak 14.
