OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 October the joint Russian-German production plant OOO KNORR-BREMSE KAMA was officially opened at the home base of KAMAZ in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Heinz Hermann Thiele, company owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Knorr-Bremse AG, and Dr. Raimund Klinkner, Chairman of the Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse. Also there were top managers of the German company’s subsidiary production units who are involved in the joint project. The guests from Germany were accompanied by Aleksandr Kogoghin, the RT Minister of Industry and Trade. The numerous delegation of KAMAZ Inc. was headed by Sergey Kogoghin, Director General. The administration of the auto city was represented by Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny.

“I’m very glad that high production standards and current technologies will be used on the KAMAZ ground from now on, – said Sergey Kogoghin, – our enterprise will meet the world standards. The Knorr-Bremse brand ensures high quality of brake systems on our vehicles and safety of all equipment, and, therefore, our company’s prosperity. I’m truly grateful to the management of the German company for the work done. We will seek to develop cooperation with Knorr-Bremse in future”.

In his reply Heinz-Hermann Thiele thanked his KAMAZ colleague for appreciation of the contribution of Knorr-Bremse to the development of the modern auto component production complex on the basis of KAMAZ. He reminded that he got to know KAMAZ already in the 90-ies when he visited Naberezhnye Chelny for the first time. Knorr-Bremse started to show a special interest in the Russian automobile plant when Sergey Kogoghin headed KAMAZ.

“This is one of those cases when joint business ensures friendly relations between managers and vice versa – oral communications contribute to more operative problem-solving in the sake of win-win relationship development”, – announced Heinz-Hermann Thiele. According to him, Knorr-Bremse understands the desire of KAMAZ to produce state-of-the-art automotive equipment and considers that the company as the largest brake system supplier in the world must provide its partner with its best specimen products.

The German top manager told about his company as well. “14 thousand people of different nationalities work at our enterprises all over the world, – he explained. – Today another one – the Tatar nationality – joined their number. The government of your republic does everything possible to develop corporate communications of the enterprise on its territory, and we rate it high. We are satisfied that industrious, careful, responsible people devoted to their profession work at our JV in Tatarstan. With production volume growth their number will increase”.

Then there was held a short, but informative press conference where the JV partners told about their plans for the further development of the enterprise and its product, leaving no doubt that KNORR-BREMSE KAMA will only grow and get stronger.
