OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2008. The Gomselmash Production Association plans to export 200 sets of grain harvesters to Kazakhstan in 2009 where they will be assembled at the Kostanai diesel plant. The agreement was reached in Gomel during the talks between Gomselmash and the Agromashholding Company from Kazakhstan.

This year the Kostanai diesel plant assembled the first 56 КЗР-740 ЕSSIL which are based on the Belarusian КЗС-7 Polesye grain harvesters. These machines were used during the grain harvest campaign in Kazakhstan. The equipment proved effective and the numbers of orders for КЗР-740 ЕSSIL increased considerably. Therefore the Kazakh partners suggested increasing the deliveries up to 300 vehicle sets. Gomselmash will consider the proposal from the point of view of its technical capability as the 2009 order portfolio is already big. The sides are planning to sign the final contract not later than November 15.

Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of farm machines to cultivate and harvest basic crops. The company’s lineup includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation. The company employs over 17,000 professionals. In 2008 the exports were worth of USD 200 million.
