Negative Trade Balance of Moldova and Belarus Increased by 2,9 Times
OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2008. In January-August, 2008, negative trade balance of Moldova and Belarus increased by 2,9 times in comparison with the same period of the last year-up to US119,9 million.
According to the Belarus side which take into account export-import transactions with Transnistria, for the first eight months 2008, goods turnover of Belarus and Moldova has made US 247,4 million, having increased by 1,7 times in comparison with the same period of 2007 (US 144,4 million).
In January-August, 2008 Belarus has doubled export of goods to Moldova – from US 93,06 million up to US 183,66 million. At the same time, deliveries of Moldavian products to Belarus have grown by 24,3 % - from US 51,28 million up to US 63,74 million.
Belarus mainly exports: mineral oil, tractors, ceramic tile and building ceramics, oil bitumen, polymers ethylene, liquid gas, refrigerators and freezers, trucks, gas cookers, tyres, spare parts and equipment for cars and tractors, medical products, polyethylene films, wooden building products. Moldova mainly imports wines, strong spirits, oil cakes, apples, sunflower-seeds, and medicines.
