OREANDA-NEWS  On 28 October was announced, that delegation of Tolmachevo International Аirport (Novosibirsk) took part in the 14th World Route Development Forum – 2008 which was held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on 12-14 October.

The 14th World Route Development Forum was an infrequent opportunity to meet practically all interesting for airport airlines, to negotiate further cooperation and to present Tolmachevo Airport routes proposals for airlines.

Delegations of the largest international airports and more than 300 passenger and cargo airlines took part in this forum. During two days the delegates of Tolmachevo Airport have met the representatives of thirty passenger and cargo airlines. Specific Tolmachevo Airport routes proposals were presented to airlines.

Arrangements with both regular and charter foreign airlines about flights from Novosibirsk to popular tourist places in 2009 were reached during negotiations. Leading tourist operators of Novosibirsk are ready to order these flights.

Arrangements with one of the leading Asian airlines about using Tolmachevo Airport for technical landing on route to Europe were also determined.

The further perspective directions of Tolmachevo Airport activities were appointed. There are expansion of technical opportunities such as acceptance and ground handling of new types of aircrafts, which foreign airlines are going to use in the future for flights to Novosibirsk, increase of the International Terminal capacity and others.
