President of Turkmenistan Receives Buried Hill Energy CEO
OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received CEO of Omani-British Buried Hill Energy Roger Heinz.
Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meting the guest congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the national holiday – Independence Day and wished good heath and new outstanding accomplishments in the versatile activity for the benefit of the Turkmen people. Reaffirming the company’s intense interest in developing co-operation with Turkmenistan Mr. Roger Heinz noted that this interest was conditioned to a large extent by the large-scale programmes on development of the domestic economy, in particular the fuel and energy sector.
Thanking for the warm congratulations and wishes Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan was always open for a constructive dialogue in particular with the dependable partners including the Buried Hill Energy Company.
The sides discussed the progress of the agreements to establish mutually advantageous co-operation in the oil and gas sector. In this context the Buried Hill Energy CEO informed the President of the company’s work done under the contract, in particular the seismological and naval research and the progress of the drilling programmes in the offshore areas of the Caspian Sea.
Focusing on the prospects of the offshore areas in Turkmenistan for hydrocarbon reserves the guest congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the results of the audit of the group of deposits Southern Yoloten-Osman and Yashlar field. The businessman said that the results of the audit of these large underground depositories had been widely covered by the world’s leading news agencies and had drawn wide response in the international business community reaafirming the guarantees for potential foreign investors.
Exchanging views on the potential of effective partnership the President and the Buried Hill Energy CEO mentioned the sphere of education, in particular personnel training among the promising fields of co-operation.
In conclusion the Turkmen leader and his guest expressed belief that business co-operation meeting mutual interests would be successfully maintained.
