OREANDA-NEWS  On 27 October was announced, that the State Committee for Industrial Safety, Pabor Protection and Mining Supervision banned using 96 units of equipment due to safety rules violation at Dniprovsk Petrovskiy Steel (PFTS: DMZP).

The inspection was carried out due to increasing number of accidents at the company.

The Committee decided to improve its supervision over technical condition of constructions and premises of the company.

Besides, the Committee banned operating of three locos from railroad department and 8 electric bridge cranes. A gas leak was revealed in the main shop of the company and of condensate from gas lines, as well as it was established that columns of blast furnace and coke gas ducts are obsolete. In rolling mill department No. 2 they suspended operation of 8 hot saws.

We would line to remind the reader that September 11, the Committee ruled to introduce a special supervising at Southern Mining (PFTS: PGZK) due to the accident between trolley and electric loco in the quarry of the company resulting in death of 3 and 7 injured persons. The special supervision at the company was abolished September 30.
