OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2008. The Government suggests establishing a state guarantee on paying of banking deposits to the people in sum of UAH 100 thousand. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told a press conference.

According to her, such suggestion is set out in the approved bill on minimization of the global financial crisis impact during today’s Gov’t sitting. The PM informed that in accordance with the mentioned document, the Government suggests additionally aiming UAH 1 billion at the Deposit Guarantee Fund subordinated to the National Bank of Ukraine.

Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko noted that bill on minimization of the global financial crisis impact provides for increase in capitalization of the domestic banks. As the PM says, we suggest that within two years the Ukrainian banks distribute no dividends but directed their incomes at statute funds with the purpose of increase in capitalization of banks.
