OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2008. The Gazprom Headquarters hosted today a working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee, Valdemar Pavljak, Vice Premier and Economy Minister of the Republic of Poland, Jerzy Bahr, Ambassador of Poland to Russia, Michaі Szubski, President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA and Pawel Olechnowicz, President of the Management Board of Lotos SA.

The parties discussed a wide spectrum of issues with regard to the cooperation in the petroleum sector. A focus was put on the implementation of the contracts for gas supply from Russia as well as the terms of hydrocarbon transit across Poland.

During the meeting emphasis was also placed on the interaction between Gazprom and PGNiG in the frames of EuRoPol GAZ.

In general, the parties gave a positive evaluation of the Russian – Polish cooperation in the energy industry and confirmed their interest in further developing the mutually beneficial long-term partnership.
