OREANDA-NEWS. On October 20, 2008 the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met at the residence "Ak Orda" with the Chairman of the JSC "Kazakhtelecom" Askar Zhumagaliyev, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

During the meeting A. Zhumagaliyev briefed the head of state with the progress of projects for telecom rural settlements (SNP).

In particular, A. Zhumagaliyev reported that the 2008 scheduled completion of all advanced telecom and electricity (according to the Ministry of Agriculture of RK) SNP with a population of less than 50 people. A communications by installing public access phones, which can use every villager. In the schedule approved by the Agency for Information and Communications of Kazakhstan, including 74 SNP.

In addition, JSC "Kazakhtelecom" realize breakthrough project for the development of rural communication using CDMA.
