Dmitry Rybolovlev Become Co-Founder of Russian Olympians Foundation
OREANDA-NEWS On 23 October was announced, that Dmitry Rybolovlev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Uralkali, become a co-founder of the Russian Olympians Foundation. This decision was made at the last General Meeting of the Foundation, whose Council of Trustees is chaired by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The Russian Olympians Foundation now consists of fifteen people, including Alisher Usmanov, Victor Rashnikov, Dmitry Pumpyansky and Andrey Bokarev. The foundation provides grants to athletes, coaches, and specialists of picked teams in summer and winter Olympic sports. The Russian Olympians Foundation was established in 2005 by Russia’s ten leading businessmen: Alexander Abramov, Roman Abramovich, Pyotr Aven, Vagit Alekperov, Vladimir Bogdanov, Victor Vekselberg, Oleg Deripaska, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Vladimir Lisin, and Vladimir Potanin.

- The Russian Olympians Foundation was founded with the participation of government officials, public figures, and best Russian athletes. It lends support to athletes, their coaches, and sports organizations. The fund aims to encourage Russian athletes to achieve the highest results in Olympic sports; and I think it is very important to support our athletes for the sake of Russia's future success in the international sports arena.
