OREANDA-NEWS  On 23 October was announced, that UTair (UTair Aviation, JSC) carried 2,562,030 passengers in January-September 2008, which is 14.7 percent higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. In addition, the company made huge progress in terms of other performance indicators throughout the reporting period as well. In particular, passenger traffic went up 13.9 percent.

The amount of mail carried by the airline’s transport aircraft increased 33.6 percent in the first nine months of 2008 alone.

Similarly, UTair’s fleet logged 112, 674 flight hours, a 17.9-present rise from the previous year.

Helicopter flying time on its own amounted to 58,180 hours, which is 13.3 percent greater than in January-September 2007.
