Metropolis Keeps Going Up in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS On 23 October was announced, that the construction of the huge mixed-use complex Metropolis, a project by Capital Partners, is still in progress in Moscow. The total area of the structure at Leningradskoe Highway will be around 330,000 sq m, the area of a superregional retail and entertainment centre will be 215,000 sq m, another 115,000 sq m will be occupied by offices.
Besides, Capital Partners is to develop the second stage of the complex with the area of 140,000 sq m. It will comprise offices (100,000 sq m) and a 200-room hotel. The construction of the complex at 16 Leningradskoe Highway is headed by Turkish ENKA. An exclusive consultant of the project is Jones Lang LaSalle.
The anchor tenants of the retail and entertainment centre Metropolis are to be a hypermarket Perekryostok with the area of more than 12,000 sq m, an electronics store M.video, the fourth in Moscow department store Stockmann and a 12-screen multiplex Kinostar De Lux.
The electronic edition reminds that 80,000 sq m within Metropolis were purchased from Capital Partners by Dutch Rodamco Europe in late 2006. The amount of the transaction was around EUR 200 million.
