OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received CEO of Turkish Chalik Holding Ahmet Chalik.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting Ahmet Chalik conveyed the heartfelt greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul to the Turkmen leader. The guest cordially congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the upcoming holiday – Independence Day and wished peace and wellbeing to the Turkmen people.

Ahmet Chalik informed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the progress of the projects implemented by the Turkish company, in particular construction of the mosque in Kunya Urgench nearby the Najmeddin Kubra Mausoleum as a gift of the Government and people of Turkey to Turkmenistan. The Turkish businessman informed that the mosque would be built within two years.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and the Turkish people for contributing to such a work of mercy as construction of a mosque that would symbolize the unbreakable ties of friendship between two states, embody the spiritual kinship between two fraternal peoples.

Focusing on the company’s willingness and endeavours to actively collaborate in implementing the large-scale projects and programmes initiated by the Turkmen leader Ahmet Chalik put forward a number of the proposals on co-operation.

In conclusion the guest thanked the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting and emphasized that Chalik Holding was sincerely proud of its long-term co-operation with Turkmenistan. The businessman assured that the company would meet its partner obligations.
