OREANDA-NEWS  On 21 October was announced, that a meeting between Director General of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies Anatoly Chubais and Minister of Science and Technology of China Wan Gang took place on October 16.

During the visit of Ministry of Science and Technology of China delegation to Russia, a meeting took place between RUSNANO Director General Anatoly Chubais and the Minister of Science and Technology of China Wan Gang.

A previous meeting between the Corporate management and Wan Gang was one of the key events of the RUSNANO delegation’s visit to China in July 2008. It showed that interests of both Russian and Chinese parties in setting collaboration in developing nanotechnologies are very similar. Chinese partners expressed their positive attitude towards the possibility of joint selection of promising projects in the field of nanotechnology and on their commercialization as co-investors, including attraction of private co-investors for such projects.

Both parties confirmed their mutual interest in collaborating in nanotechnologies and also discussed a preparation for an agreement between the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China about creating a union on strategic collaboration for nanotechnologies. The signing of this agreement is planned for October 28 during the forthcoming meeting of the heads of the Chinese and Russian Governments in Moscow.

At the conclusion of the meeting Wan Gang invited Anatoly Chubais on a reciprocal visit to China.
