OREANDA-NEWS  On 21 October Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (CMW, Perm Territory), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), reported its operating results for September 2008 and the nine months of 2008.

CMW’s output of finished rolled products was 31.4 thousand tonnes in September 2008. Its output of rolled products reached 336.6 thousand tonnes from the beginning of 2008, or 5.2 thousand tonnes (2%) more than for the nine months of 2007 (331.4 thousand tonnes).

Steel production was 44.6 thousand tonnes in September 2008. In total, Chusovoy Metallurgical Works made 389.1 thousand tonnes of steel for the nine months of 2008, which was 12.8 thousand tonnes (3%) more than for the nine months of 2007 (376.3 thousand tonnes).
