OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2008. In the course of the business tour by journalists of Republican and Kazan media they were familiarized with preparation of the thermal networks of the city to heating season and the new technologies applied in reconstruction and repair.

On 2 thru 12 September JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company " conducted the fall hydraulic tests of the trunk heat pipelines and quarter thermal grids for density. They are held in JSC "KTC" 2 times a year: after finishing the autumn –winter period (AWP) and after finishing the overhauls prior to the next AWP.

The pressings conducted according to provisions of Rules of operation of thermal power installations and approved guidance of two parties in person of Executive Committee of Kazan and JSC "KTC" schedule, were the checking of pipes after the overhaul, stipulating the welding works. They allow to detect till the heating season and in good time replace the unreliable sections of the pipelines to successfully undergo the fall-winter maximum. During the tests were detected 35 damages, of them 23 – on the trunk heat lines and 12 in the intra-quarter thermal grids. As at 17 September al of them were removed.

Hydraulic testing twice a year and enhancing the quality of repair allowed to reduce the damages on the thermal grids of the city. If 2006 their number during pressings was 217, in total for heating season exceeded 1,100, this year during hydraulic tests the faults was at the level of 138. The age of pipelines in operation with high level of the ground waters is to date the basic problem for JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company"

JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company " was formed on 1 October 2005 and in the 4 quarter already of the same year out of schedule were replaced 14,340 l.m. of worn out quarter grids. Such big volumes of mandatory repairs for urgent removing of defects are associated with total worn out quarter grids , transferred to Kazan thermal grids of JSC "Tatenergo" from MUP PO "Kazenergo".

In 2006 on base of overhaul and reconstruction were replaced 49,740 l.m of pipelines. In 2007 году - 32 649 l.m. Decrease of volume of replacement is explained by low tariff s for heat, established for JSC "КТC" for 2007.

In this 2008 the planned works for overhaul and reconstruction of the networks in amount of 25,432 l.m., including: trunk grids - 4, 418 l.m. intra-quarter - 21,014 l.m. Total volume of works done was over 95%.

One of the ways of solution of technical problem of grid normative service live provision is to apply in the overhaul the advanced technologies and energy conservation materials. In overhaul, reconstruction and construction of the new grids in KTC is applied the pipe laying in foam polyurethane insulation and pipes "isoproflex" for hot water supply.

The other task in preparing to AWP 2008/09 is the implementation of program for installing the meters of heat on the trunk pipelines in 5 locations, which will promote metering of transported heat and heat carrier along the trunk pipelines, develop the rational regimes of system of centralized heat supply.

Prior to winter JSC "KTC" plans to construct heat lines to boiler houses MUP "PO "Kazenergo" on Zhukovskogo str., 21, Kalinina,87, А.Kutuya,2, K.Marksa,22, Lobachevskogo, 15/32 for switching the heat supply to consumers to sources of JSC "Tatenergo ", that began at 2007.

Besides the entity will do apart from overhaul and reconstruction of the trunk and quarter pipelines, construction of intra-quarter pipelines to new houses, built according to social hypothec. And these are more 1,693 linear meters of them over half have been laid.

Prior to winter JSC "КТК" has to both obtain the Passport of readiness of the company to AWP 2008-2009 and monitor the preparation of the consumers to the coming heating season. This is not easy but necessary task of Kazan Thermal Network Company before the heating season.

The extent of readiness of thermal network entity itself to passing the autumn-winter time period was assessed by special commission that had worked in JSC "КТК" on September 8 thru 12. In the Act are reflected the necessary actions for competition the equipment, buildings and plant of thermal networks of JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company" to passing the autumn –winter maximum of loads of 2008/2009. They will finish till 25 October, by obtaining the Passport of readiness to work in AWP 2008/2009.
