OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. In January-September, 2008, Ukraine’s commercial and fishing ports handled 140.4 million tonnes of cargo (+7.1%, year-on-year), Ukrainean Ministry of Transport and Communications reports. In the reported period, transshipment of export cargo grew by 16.5%, import – by 28.7%, year-on-year. In January-September the ports handled 16,400 foreign and cross-trading vessels (+10.7%, year-on-year).
