OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. The parliament was formed a year ago from among the most active students and young specialists of Angarsk. The first speaker of the parliament was employee of AECC Andrey Denisov.

The Youth Parliament has been designed as one of the instruments for building of civil society and wide involvement of youth in the life of the city. The key activities of the parliament are public awareness, education, personnel recruitment, development of public activities, formation of legal and political culture among youths.

The parliament has organized a Formula of Success project: a series of roundtables and discussions and visits to Angarsk closed facilities aimed at familiarizing youths with the work of the city’s facilities.

The election of the new parliament is starting in Nov. The new parliament will be elected for two years.
