OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. The head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) Nikolay Kutyin has appointed complex working groups for exercise of state control over the construction of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant-2, the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant and the construction of the 2nd unit of Rostov Nuclear Power Plant.

The groups comprise employees of the territorial agencies of Rostekhandzor and are supposed to draft programs of inspections.

The inspections can also be conducted on the basis of notification by organizations implementing the projects about the completion of the work subject to inspection if the work has been completed earlier or later than envisaged in the plan of inspections.

The inspections can be conducted on the request of physical and legal entities, federal and regional authorities and local self-governments and in case of emergencies.
 
After the completion of the projects the group will have to conduct complex inspections and will have to issue resolutions on their compliance with the standards. Otherwise, Rostekhnadzor will have the right to deny such a resolution.
