OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno will present its new product – heat resisting material “Arselon” at the international industrial exhibition in Shanghai.

The exhibition will hold in November. However, a number of potential partners have already shown interest in the new material. More than 10 Chinese companies would like to take part in the presentation of Arselon.

According to Tatiana Gorina, the costume made of Arselon fabric withstands temperature up to 250C. Within 15 minutes, the Arselon fabric may withstand temperature up to 600-700C.
The Arselon material can be used for protective clothing and also for aerospace industry. It is widely used for military industrial complex as well. The Arselon milled fiber can be used for production of brakeblocks for railway carriages; the Arselon thread can be used for production of car lining.

The main goal of the presentation in Shanghai is to promote the new material on the Chinese market. The CIS member states do not produce such materials. The main competitors of the Belarusian Arselon producer are US and Japanese corporations. The Belarusian material meets the international standards. In 2009, Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno intends to double the export of Arselon materials.
