On October 15, 2008 A team of experts and analysts from the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry recommended that oil traders set prices for oil products at fuel stations at the level of UAH 5.26-6.63 per liter (USD 1 / UAH 4.92) during the second ten days of October, according to the ministry's press service.

In particular, prices for diesel fuel should range between UAH 6.43 and UAH 6.63 per liter October 11 through October 21, gasoline A-76/80 UAH 5.26-5.42 per liter, gasoline A-92 UAH 5.63-5.60 per liter, and gasoline A-95 UAH 5.82-6.00 per liter.

Oil traders can individually set prices within the price band, taking into account the whereabouts of their fuel stations and market reasons.
