OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2008. SOGAZ Insurance Group and the Sakhalin Region administration concluded an agreement on cooperation, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.

SOGAZ Insurance Group and the Sakhalin Region administration concluded an agreement on cooperation.

The document was signed by Konstantin Stroganov, First Vice-Governor of the Region and Vadim Yanov, Chairman of the SOGAZ Insurance Group Management Board.

An agreement concluded for three years will make it possible to organize an effective cooperation between SOGAZ and the Region Administration to resolve issues of the complex social and economic development of the Region, improvement of the social security system for individuals and companies, and development of a public medical insurance system through implementation of insurance programs. SOGAZ will pay special attention to insurance against risks arising during implementation of national priority projects, federal and regional targeted investment programs.

“We hope that SOGAZ will arrive with new products and new investments” – said K. Stroganov.
According to Vadim Yanov, the Far East and Sakhalin in particular is a priority direction in the operation of SOGAZ Group. “It is the place where economy develops, new large customers arrive. Our services are in demand”, – said in its turn V. Yanov. He also said that SOGAZ plans to develop medical insurance in Sakhalin and invest in creating a medical infrastructure.

Signing the Agreement between the Administration of the Sakhalin Region and SOGAZ became a milestone in the Group’s operation in the Region for the benefit of its social and economic development. SOGAZ customers in the Region are a number of large enterprises, including Gazprom, Rosneft Oil Concern and Sakhalin Energy (Sakhalin-1, Sakhalin-2, Sakhalin-5 projects).

Since 2008 SOGAZ has started its successful operation on the market of federal targeted investment program insurance in the Sakhalin Region: a training seminar for state customers was organized, programs of state and municipal contract liability insurance, construction and assembly risks of facilities built as part of federal targeted programs are being implemented. In late September SOGAZ sent a group of children from disadvantaged families of the Korsakov District of the Sakhalin Region to Dolenjske Toplice resort in Slovenia.

The amount of financing for the two main federal targeted programs implemented in the Sakhalin Region – the federal targeted program “Economic and Social Development of the Far East and Transbaikal” and the federal targeted program “Social and Economic Development of the Kurile Islands (Sakhalin Region)” for the period from 2008 to 2010 exceeds RUR 14 billion.
