OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 October was announced, that “PO “Sevmash” representatives returned from India.

Director General Nikolay Kalistratov and Chief Engineer Alexey Alsufjev took part in the 8th meeting on intergovernmental committee on military cooperation. Russian delegation was headed by RF Minister of Defence Anatoly Serdykov.

One of the central topics of the meeting was discussing contract on repairing and reequipment of heavy aircraft carrier (former “Admiral Gorshkov”) in aircraft carrier of 11430 project. Necessity in significant increase of works scope was revealed during project realization, which were not taken into account in main contract. Therefore contract price became higher and schedule time was increased.

According to enterprise Director General Nikolay Kalistratov during negotiations in New Delhi Russian part made public its proposals regarding work scope increase and contract price. At press conference Head of Indian military department Arakkaparambil Kurian Antony mentioned that negotiations were profitable and issue on aircraft carrier will be soon put for discussion in Indian Government.

Minutes of meeting of the 8th meeting of intergovernmental committee on military cooperation provides for establishing common working group for carrying out monitoring of works to be performed on the ship, determination of actual expenses and project financing order. OAO “PO “Sevmash” representatives will be included in this working group.
