Silvinit Transferred Income Gained Due to Antimonopoly Violations
OREANDA-NEWS. On October 07, 2008, "Silvinit" OJSC informed the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on executing Clause 4.1. of the amicable settlement between FAS Russia and "Silvinit" OJSC: the company transferred 37 million Rubles of the income, gained due to antimonopoly violations, to the federal budget, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
On 23rd April 2007, FAS Russia found that "Silvinit" OJSC violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position) and issued a determination to stop violating the antimonopoly legislation and transfer the income, gained through the antimonopoly violations, to the federal budget.
"Silvinit" OJSC violated the law by fixing monopolistically high prices for potassium chloride supplied to its consumers in the first quarter 2007.
On 7th July 2008, the Moscow Arbitration Court validated the amicable settlement between FAS Russia and "Silvinit" OJSC.
