OREANDA-NEWS. October 9, 2008. “Siberian agrarian holding” (SAHO) group delivered herbicides “RAP” and “Elant-Premium” for the needs of Federal Drug Control Service Board in Zabaikalsky Territory. In 2008 regional anti-drug service fist applied chemical method of wild cannabis control alongside with traditional mowing.

“RAP” produced by “SAHO-Himprom” is general effect herbicide. This chemical is effective against harmful plants in rural, forest and community facilities. It is also used for preventing railway ramping. Selective herbicide “Elant-Premium” for oppression of annual and perennial weeds shows high efficiency against cannabis. So these chemicals produced by “SAHO-Himprom” will be used in future by anti-drug service of Zabaykalye.

Wild cannabis areas in the region are located in 26 districts from 35. Treatment with herbicides produced by “SAHO-Himprom” is radical and more effective method compared to mowing, it will release hundreds of ha from excessive grass. At the areas treated with environmentally safe chemicals cannabis will not grow in the next years too. Taking into consideration this fact, specialists of SAHO developed herbicide application programme for 2009 at the request of the authorities of Zabaikalsky Territory. This programme will enable to implement complex approach at struggle with wild cannabis on agricultural and non-agricultural lands with the help of chemicals produced by “SAHO-Himprom”.
