The volume of agricultural production grew by 21% in January-August 2008 year-over-year, with the production volume at current prices amounting to UAH 108.3 billion over the period (against UAH 69.5 billion over the same period in 2007), according to the State Statistics Committee.

Farms boosted their production by 45.2%, while public economies by 5.9%.
