OREANDA-NEWS  On 09 October was announced, that the certification authority TUV CERT issued a certificate which confirms that CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” applies a management system in accordance with the standard OHSAS 18001: in the design, manufacturing and supply of hot — and cold-formed seamless stainless steel tubes.

Getting a certificate — that is, in fact, the recognition of a high-level management system for industrial safety and evaluation of a programme of industrial safety at CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE”.

Implementation of the system OHSAS at CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” is a part of the realization of a strategy for the management of manufacturing risks and dangers, minimizing their impact on the staff. The goal of the programme is to ensure that the production activities of the company correspond to the requirements of legislation, protection of workers’ health, maintaining a constructive dialogue and a policy of transparency with suppliers, customers and other external parties in the questions of labour protection and job safety of the personnel.

OHSAS system helps to create safe and healthy working conditions and provides a basic approach for CENTRAVIS to consistently identify and control risks to health and safety of the staff, reduce the possibility of accidents, comply with legislation and improve overall efficiency.

The certificate was issued in August 2008. The process of certification was conducted in accordance with the procedures for auditing and certification of TUV CERT, which will also carry out regular surveillance audits to verify and demonstrate the conformity of the company to the requirements of OHSAS.

OHSAS 18001 was designed in accordance with the rules of the Directives ISO / IEC and has the status of an international standard recognized by the International Organization for Standardization to assess management systems of labor protection and job safety. It was developed by a group of leading trade organizations, international authorities of standardization and certification to fill gaps caused by the absence of any international standards elaborated by third parties and used for certification.
