OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2008. The President discussed this at a working meeting with Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko. The decree provides for establishing a national nuclear research university at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI) and a national technological research university at the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISA).

The Education and Science Minister reported to the head of state on the ministry's readiness to implement this project, the main goal of which is to promote more integration between science and education.  

During the meeting they also discussed problems linked with implementation  of the project on hooking up Russian schools to the Internet.
