OREANDA-NEWS  On 08 October was announced, that this year, Swedbank (the new name of Hansabanka from September) has received Honorary Title "Family Friendly Business", which is awarded by the Ministry for Children and Family Affairs. This company evaluation project was set up to promote family-friendly values in society and improve environment suitable for families.

In order to obtain this award, support to family values must play an in important role in company's philosophy.

Objective of Swedbank is to be the leader of an excellent service by understanding the needs of their customers and by offering the most suitable solutions. Swedbank supports external activities for families and children, among those – various charity projects, events etc., however the very basis is support to the family values of the company and its human resource policy.

The Bank employees' motivation package includes a range of advantages provided for employees who have children. For instance, all employees who have children of the primary school age, are entitled to a paid holiday on the 1st of September, and same applies a child graduates. When a child is born to an employee, three holidays are granted and the Bank pays a child birth allowance, too. Employees of Swedbank also receive a school allowance per child, before the start of school year, and parents of minors can also receive an allowance once a year for children camp. Employees receive three holidays and a special allowance also when entering into marriage.
