OREANDA-NEWS. On October 07, 2008 Gazprom's daughter company Gazpromsbyt Ukraine announced plans to supply Ukrainian industrial consumers with 5 billion cu m of gas in 2008, Gazpromsbyt Ukraine Director Anatoliy Podmyshalsky told reporters.

He noted that in October gas deliveries will make up some 550 million cu m of gas, while in Q4 it was planned to deliver about 3 billion in total, but due to reduction in gas consumption by metallurgical enterprises these figures have been reviewed. According to Podmyshalsky, in order to supply 5 billion in 2008 the company will have to additionally attract consumers with a consumption volume of 1 billion cu of gas.

Operation of Gazpromsbyt Ukraine in the Ukrainian domestic market is stipulated by the agreement on relations development in gas area between NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gazprom. Under the document, Gazpromsbyt Ukraine may supply Ukrainian industrial consumers with 7.5 billion cu m of gas a year.
