OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2008. The Bank of Moscow took part in the III Annual International Forum SECURITISATION IN RUSSIA AND CIS: New Market Opportunities and Investment Solutions. For three years in a row this event has been gathering professionals working in the field of securitisation in Russia and the CIS countries around one discussion table. The key topic of the Forum discussion was search for new investment opportunities in the region as well as boosting the foreign partners’ interest in local securitisation transactions.

The Bank of Moscow was represented by Managing Director of the Capital Market Department Denis Gaevski. He presented his report entitled ‘Financing of infrastructure projects in Russia: Risks vs. Return’.

– 'We at Bank of Moscow pay a lot of attention to developing infrastructure in Russia, says Denis Gaevski. I truly believe that infrastructure related investments will be one of the main opportunities in Russia going forward. This is a unique asset class able to produce stable annuity that cannot be matched by any corporate. Infrastructure investments usually represent long term assets which intrinsic value should not be affected by short term market volatility, this is exactly what is needed under current market environment.
