OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2008. Cotton growers in the Oguzkhan Etrap are the first in the Mary Velayat and in Turkmenistan to meet the contractual commitments on cotton production ahead of schedule. On the eve of the holiday Oraza Bayramy 9,500 tons of ‘white gold’ were delivered to the receiving points.

This achievement is a result of diligent labour of farmers inspired with the support and assistance provided to agricultural workers by the Government and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to the Mary Velayat Khyakimlik, hundreds of agricultural machines are engaged in the cotton picking campaign, raw cotton is promptly delivered to the receiving points in the region. The Mary cotton growers undertook the task to pick 2,000 tons more by celebrations of the 17th anniversary of independence.
