OREANDA-NEWS. On October 02, 2008 S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, announced the start of electronic ticket sales on new routes of the company’s own route network and the signing of new electronic interline agreements, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

S7 Airlines began to offer e-tickets on flights from the cities of Mineralnye Vody and Vladikavkaz in September 2008. The implementation of e-ticket technologies preceded preparatory work to upgrade the airports.

Furthermore, now with S7 Airlines electronic tickets it is possible to travel on any of the flights of S7’s partner airlines Air Astana and Air China. The expansion of international partnership with these airlines was made possible after interline agreements to mutually recognize electronic tickets were signed.

Electronic tickets are currently accepted in 67 cities of the S7 Airlines route network at 35 Russian and 32 foreign airports. S7 Airlines plans to transfer fully to electronic ticketing technology during the winter 2008-2009 flight schedule.
