In compliance with the rules for calculating the MICEX index, the new weight quotients for stocks included in the calculation base will be determined based on their market prices on the last trading day of the quarter. Also, recommendations of the Index Committee will be used to update quotients for free float shares that make up the calculation base. The new weight and free float quotients will be used to calculate the index from October 15, 2008.

From October 15, 2008, the calculation base for the MICEX index will include ordinary shares of UralKali and Raspadskaya. At the same time, the regular review will exclude ordinary shares of AvtoVAZ and the Bank of Moscow from the base, the exchange said in a press release.
