ROSNO Holds Roundtable on Cargo Insurance
OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2008. The Kaliningrad-ROSNO branch has held a roundtable discussion "Accident Registration, Claims Processing and Damage Reimbursement in Cargo Transportation". This event was arranged as part of the ROSNO’s Russian national program contemplating 20 similar roundtable discussions and conferences in 12 Russian cities, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The participants of this roundtable discussion, counting over 40, discussed a number of the most important cargo insurance issues: principles, peculiarities and terms of this type of insurance, methods of damage evaluation and claims processing procedure. Also, they focused on the Federal Law on special economic zones, discussed its prospects and effect on the volume of imported and exported cargo, as well as the advantages and shortcomings of railway and air transportation, etc.
Among the roundtable speakers there were Mr. Dmitry Chemakin, First Deputy of the Area Development Minister of the Kaliningrad Region, Ms. Galina Kobaskaya, deputy head of the cargo service in the Kaliningrad branch of the Russian Railways (RZD), and Mr. Alexander Korytny, regional manager of Air Baltic in Kaliningrad. The main speaker was Mr. Denis Kuzavlev, deputy CEO of OJSC ROSNO. Also, among the event’s participants was Ms. Rosa Merzlyakova, head of the Kaliningrad -ROSNO branch.
