OREANDA-NEWS  On 02 October was announced, that the company’s staff performed protection of the territory of the future substation and started work on laying of a foundation for the open switchgear equipment.

The construction of Rodniki substation, including installation of two 25 MVA power transformers, is performed under Kurskenergo's investment programme.

According to the agreement signed between the Kursk Region administration, JSC UES FGC, IDGC of Centre, JSC and Kurskenergo subsidiary on cooperation at performance of 2007-2011 investment programmes, around 300m roubles will be invested in the construction of Rodniki substation. 
It will increase the reliability and quality of electric power supply of South-West and Southern districts of Kursk, where the social municipal infrastructure is being established.

Under the approved business plan, the 2008 investment programme of Kurskenergo, an IDGC of Centre, JSC subsidiary, equals 928,961K roubles. Apart from JSC Rodniki construction, other important investment projects of the company are construction of 110 kV Severnaya substation, reconstruction of Tsentralnaya substation and 110 kV and 10-0.4 kV overhead lines.
