OREANDA-NEWS  On 01 October was announced, that in first eight months Transaero Airlines maintained high rates of sustainable growth. Thus in January – August:

Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) grew to 11,761 million, a 58% increase from the same period in 2007;

Passenger number grew to 3.318 million, 58% more than in January – August, 2007;

Freight turnover grew to 1,133 million tons km, a 57% increase over the first eight months in 2007;

13,925 tons of mail and cargo delivered (35% year-by-year increase);

18,812 flights performed (34% increase).
