OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2008. In the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2009 the Government has allocated 3,5fold more funds for the army’s financing.

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated at a briefing after the selector meeting with heads of regional state administrations. “None of Cabinets had such record showings,” she noted.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, these funds will be aimed at the army armament which significantly strengthens its defensive capacity. “Everything the Government could do for increasing the army’s financing – we did – it is the Parliament’s turn now,’ the Premier told.
