OREANDA-NEWS. On September 30, 2008 the joint meeting of the sections of the Expert Council on protection of competition in financial services market on banking services market and on insurance services market was held in the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The members of the Expert Council as well as the members of the working group on elaboration of the draft Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation "On Approval of the Block Exemption in the Respect of the Agreements between Credit and Insurance Organizations", which was established under the Expert Council, will discuss the given draft.

Besides, the system of accreditation of the rating agencies, elaborated by the National Stock Association, was discussed as well.

The Expert Council on protection of competition in financial services market under the FAS Russia was created in October 2004, having the goal to increase effectiveness of realization of functions on adoption of legal and other normative acts, control and supervision over the observance of the legislation on competition in financial services markets. The Council consists of three sections: on banking services market, on insurance services market and on the market of securities.

The members of the State Duma and the Council of the Federation, representatives of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, federal authorities of executive power, the Central Bank of Russia, antimonopoly authority as well as representatives of financial, scientific and other organizations, independent experts are represented in the Expert Council.
