OREANDA-NEWS. On September 29, 2008 Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko rewarded champions and prize winners of the XIII Summer Paralympic Games 2008 in Beijing with diplomas of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for notable sports achievements.

At the same time Yulia Tymoshenko presented the paralympions with cash awards. The Head of Government also presented the coaches of the national paralympic team with CMU diplomas.

Delivering her speech at a solemn rewarding ceremony of the paralympions the PM stated that Government would additionally allocate 100 million UAH for prosthetics of all invalids of Ukraine and 40 million UAH – for a dwelling program for invalids.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that these funds would be allocated from extra 100 billion UAH of the 2009 Budget supply received due to deshadowization and economic growth. “100 billion – is a colossal sum and now we can fortunately give this money to the country that’s why we have strengthened all programs regarding invalids, for 2009,” the Head of Government noted.
