OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2008. OJSC "Company "M.video" (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain's first hypermarket in Nizhnekamsk (the Republic of Tatarstan).

The new store accounts to more than 2000 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products. The pre-opening costs amounted to 55 million roubles.

Up to date M.video group operates 8 hypermarkets in the Republic of Tatarstan: 4 in the city of Kazan, 2 in Naberezhnye Chelny, 1 in Almetyevsk and 1 in Nizhnekamsk.

The company confirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
