OREANDA-NEWS  On 29 September was announced, that, the opening ceremony of the new quarry section of Maltsovsky quarry LLC took place in the Dyatkovo area of the Bryansk region on the 26th of September, 2008. The new 20 hectares section will be able to provide JSC Maltsovsky portland cement, the largest cement plant of CJSC "EUROCEMENT group", with raw materials till 2011. At the opening ceremony the Vice-Governor of the Bryansk region and the Head of the Mining Department of CJSC "EUROCEMENT group" put a new unique ES 6/45 walking excavator into operation. The total volume of investments in the implementation of that project equaled more than 200 million rubles. An area of more than 1 kilometer will be prepared for the extraction of tripolite, a mineral additive replacing slag, and a railway track will be built there by the end of the year. The Vice-Governor said that the considerable construction growth in Bryansk region needs resources of "EUROCEMENT group" holding and assured that the portland cement for construction works in Bryansk region would be supplied from the Maltsovsky quarry and not from China.

During the ceremony a group of the quarry workers, distinguished through the excavator erection works, were awarded. The Vice Governor also awarded commemorative medals to Veterans of Labor on the occasion of the recent 65th anniversary of the Bryansk region liberation from the fascist invaders.

The ceremony ended with the consecration of the new walking excavator and the excavation of the first soil.
