OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2008. They discussed arrangements concerning the joining of two regions. The Kamchatka Krai was formed on July 1st, 2007 by joining the Kamchatka Region and the Koryak Autonomous District.

Dmitry Medvedev instructed the leadership of the Kamchatka Krai not to reduce the level of social guarantees following the conclusion of work to join the two entities. The transition period for the formation of the Kamchatka Krai ends on 31st December 2008.

The Governor also told the President about the restoration of the Tilichki village that was affected by an earthquake in April 2006.
