OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2008. Terminal Ukrtranscontainer (UTC, part of NCC group) have finished introduction of the customized information system Conterra. The system's developer is ROLIS (IT-company of NCC group). The system comprises all the basic process at the terminal: container handling, document flow, tariffing and financial accounting.

The implementation of Conterra will allow UTC to gain strategic advantages including:

• paperless operations and centralized information processing within the integrated system will reduce time for document execution and increase the cargo handling rate;
• providing of EDI service for shipping lines (EDIFACT standard). Automation of interaction between the terminal, shipping lines and state regulatory agencies will allow the clients for execution of transport documents on line;
• on-line access to additional analytic and statistic information will be available for clients
• system of management reporting.

The implementation of Conterra is an important part of the UTC's expansion and development program which will increase the terminal capacity up to 4 000 000 TEU per year. The program envisages total investment of USD 500M in the period 2005-2019. The advantages gained by accomplishment of the Program will allow the terminal to become a leader and provide its clients with world-class services.
