OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2008. It is planned to build a contemporary Olympic Center in the territory of the former military cantonment in Horenychi outside Kyiv. The center will have playing fields and administrative buildings, said Family, Youth and Sports Minister Yuriy Pavlenko.

The decision on transfer of the integral property complex of the cantonment to the Family, Youth and Sports Ministry was passed by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry press service says.

Yuriy Pavlenko says the complex will also have a national anti-dope center with up-to-date premises meeting international standard. The center will be also used during the European Football Championship in 2012, he added.

It is planned to provide UAH 448.2 million (UAH 4.85 / USD 1) for the construction of the sports complex.
