OREANDA-NEWS. On September 23, 2008 Following its Ecological Policy WGC-3 has announced request on proposal (RFP) for carbon investment advisory to implement investment projects in generation, reported the press-centre of WGC-3.

All projects related to RFP meet conditions of Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol - they are scheduled until December 31, 2012 and aimed to reduce emission of greenhouse gases due to higher efficiency of equipment.

WGC-3 intends to execute new generation construction, maintenance and repowering projects under the Kyoto Protocol.

Potential applicants are requested to estimate efficiency of emission reduction units sale, work out project design document, provide national expertise from Ministry of Economic Development of Russia (Commission on Approval for Projects developed in Accordance with Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol, coordinate the approval for projects with the Secretary office of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), attract investors in carbon.

Investors in carbon can also participate in the Open Price Competition if this investor under the trading agreement fulfills the requirements of projects execution support.
